I'm MAD!!

I have gone from being upset that hubby will be away to being totally and utterly PISSED off at his audacity! Is there a reason he didn't stop to THINK about whether this was an appropriate time to being running off? And for $11 an hour?!? HELLO!?! There are jobs that pay $9-11 just 30-40 miles away that would allow me to work as well. Instead, he takes a job and the work that I have to do is not going to be able to get done! We could have done the split shift thing where he works one shift, I work the next at whatever and we both are home for a shift. With 3 kids ages 3 and under and so close together, finding child care is impossible. And we have tried and tried and tried. When asked WHY he took this job it was "In hopes that next time they would keep him in Dallas or Waco". What kind of answer is that? That answer is his new catch all for "oops, I forgot I had a family". All I've heard about all week is about how he is leaving. This is not kosher! My mother keeps doing that "you know he can be replaced" nonsense. I don't want to replace him. I love him. She is such a pain sometimes. So, I can't go rant to my mother so here I sit, mad as a hornet, realizing that my husband can't think of anyone but himself most of the time. This is a fact that I've been well aware of for a long time, but it never affected the family to this degree before. I can handle anything, well, almost evidently. I gave up a job I could have had making lots of money because it meant I would be away from the family all week long and here he goes and takes this one without so much as considering the fact that right now is NOT a good time. If I'd known it was a freaking free for all and that what was best for the family didn't matter, I'd be in St Louis right now!!! Explain to me HOW exactly did this happen? Oh, wait, I know. I had faith in a man and told him to go for it as far as applying for a job in WACO. No one said crap to me about Tulsa until he already said YES to them! What happened to this partnership? Making decisions together to benefit our family? Seems it just went to hell, that's what!!! I think from now on I will keep my big mouth shut and my feelings to myself! I am not cut out for this one sided thing at all!

My husband is leaving me!!!

Ok, well, not permanently or anything so don't freak out there. Just for the next several weeks. He's gotten himself a job that pays pretty good for driving a rolling advertising truck for a company called Do It Outdoors. Go check out there site at http://www.doitoutdoors.com. Its really a great idea but I wish we weren't apart of it. He applied for the position half an hour away and, instead, they are kidnapping my huband to send him to God only knows where! As of 2 this afternoon we still have no idea where he is going and he should be gone for about 7 weeks or so. This is killing me like you would not believe. I don't know what I am going to do without him the next several weeks. I can handle the kids and the house(I think) but not having him here will be like having a hole in my heart. He is my best friend and the idea of him not being around makes my stomach upset and my heartbeat go nut and I feel like I'm having one big panic attack. I'm trying not to cry but I've got a major case of "I want to breakdown". I can't do it though. He's excited about it and if I told him he couldn't go he would hate me for it or resent me and I don't ever want that. I love him too much to stand in his way. It's only 7 weeks, right?

During this time, he will miss July 4th, HIS birthday, and, most importantly, he will miss the baby learning how to walk!! She's the youngest and the last and it hurts me to know that he will miss this milestone. There is a reason I never even dated anyone who travelled as I am not strong enough of a person to handle it but I guess I have no choice here, for better and worse and all that jazz. Just typing this my tongue feels like it's swelling and my heart is racing and my eyes, well, I can't see thru the tears so I'm hoping there are no typos here. I get the horrible job of having to go and drop him off and, with life as unpredicable as it is, it may be the last time I ever see him(I pray that it's not). I hate not having control over every one else's actions. Too many loonies out there. And I have a bad feeling about the whole thing, but it's probably just me being paranoid(I hope). Anyway, I will still be back on later to fill everyone in on my extra houseguests and what all is been going on but, right now, I really just don't feel like being on here. I've got to get him ready to go. I love my husband and, if this is what he wants to do, then I will stand beside him, tell him goodbye and then watch him board that plane.

I love you, Alan!

Hot Hot HOT!!

Ok, it is so stinking hot outside, I just had to take a nap. I couldn't help myself. Put baby down for her nap and there I went. And I'm not sure what it is, but I think my subconscious was going thru my to do list and creating weird dreams out of it. Things to remember to do: Call the city office and have them change out the light on the corner. Check on the couple down the road to see how they are doing. Go for a walk around town and take pictures. This last thing is something I've been wanting to do since moving here a year ago. Its just a really old town with everything centered on the main street. Broken down buildings and all. We live 150 feet or so from all of it. There are a few people here trying to get me to run for city council. Evidently they need someone to watch over these guys and make sure they aren't conducting business at Pooh's. Pooh's Pair-a-dice that is. Pooh is a cutesy guy that lives in a city 18 miles from here that is now evidently on the city council here. How did that happen? Anyone else see a problem with that? The whole thing is corrupt. Where is Festus when you need him?

Speaking of hot, there are a few HOT deals at CVS this week. Thanks to TheThriftyMama.com. I absolutely love her site so be sure to check it out!

Bedtime...

Ok, wow, we've had one heck of a lightning show around here tonight and I've been off and on here and haven't gotten done near everything I wanted to do before bed. Thought it would finally rain but lightning and thunder is as far as it went. Dallas/Fort Worth got nailed yesterday so I've been watching the reports on that all day. I did get some really awesome pics of our almost storm this evening including a double rainbow that I will try to share soon. Tomorrow is another day so maybe I will find a moment! I will be out and about tomorrow doing the grocery shopping, doing a project for one company and another for a different company. They pay pretty good for what they are which is good since the belt tensioner and my radiator in my Durango both need to be fixed now. I'm pushing my luck with this truck and not being able to get it fixed at the moment. I paid $1700 for it thru an ebay auction and put a new motor in it and it has already more than paid for itself but I really REALLY like it and want to keep it running for, well, forever. Just have to keep babying her till I can save up enough to get her fixed.

OH! I did find a twitter gadget but its not the little bird one that I wanted so I put the twitter feed and the "follow me on twitter" widget at the bottom of the sidebar. Still trying to decide on the graphic for my button so if you happen to have one that you think would fit the theme(s) of this blog, please feel free to let me know. I can be so indecisive sometimes. Also, if anyone knows where I can get that little twitter bird gadget, email me please.

Well, I am off to bed. The 2 yr old has been asleep for about 5 hours now on my side of the bed so I guess I will be sharing hubby's side. Hopefully I won't knock him off and hopefully she will sleep till morning. May be a long night otherwise.

Have a good nite all and thanks for everything!

Women's robes recalled after reports of 6 deaths

Here's something that those who shop at Blair might want to be aware of. I've seen some really great prices there sometimes(usually when I have no money of course) so if you happened to have picked one of these up, it might be wise to return it and get something else. And, with any robe, I would probably advise you not to cook in it in general as the sleeves have a tendency to hang loose and could cause a problem.

Women's robes recalled after reports of 6 deaths

WASHINGTON (AP) — Consumers are being urged to stop wearing a certain type of chenille women's robe made by Blair LLC after reports of six deaths when the robes caught on fire.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Blair LLC on Thursday issued their second recall notice in two months on 162,000 chenille robes, citing a fire hazard.

In most of the reported cases, the victims were women who were cooking when their robe caught on fire.

Acting CPSC Chairman Thomas Moore said consumers should report any incidents or injuries they experience with the robes and other products.

The robes, made in Pakistan, were sold in Blair catalogs, the company Web site, and Blair stores in Pennsylvania and Delaware from January 2003 through March 2009.

Happy Thursday!!

WOW!! I want to thank everyone for the follows and the wonderful comments. I really appreciate each and every one of you! And I have to say that the OLS community of sweepers is the absolutely bomb!! I've been a member since 2003 when I signed up under mumto3girls1boy. After 3 more kids, I finally changed my name to mumto5girls2boys after realizing that WOW, things have changed and so the name really needed too. OLS has great people from all areas of the country and beyond! I've found I am at home there despite not knowing 99% of the people there if I passed them on the street. Sure everyone has differing opinions but thats where it gets fun. As long as no one takes anything too personally, most anything can be a great debate!

Anyway, the whole point of the OLS pitch is I just bought my hubby a Premium "Subscription to OLS!! He's now GREEN!! He's been a member since 2007 but never really did anything with it. So, in the last few days he's downloaded Roboform and started entering sweepstakes. He never really "got" why I like the combo of Roboform and OLS but with his new greenness on the site, he's learning quickly. He's entering and entering. I LOVE IT!!

So, I am working on laundry, sweeps, laundry, sweeps, dishes, sweeps...anyone want to come do the laundry. I mean, wow, I am NEVER going to get thru all of this. I'm getting rid of stuff as quickly as I can. All those clothes that I held on to "just in case". Well, my just in case has been cut and burned and will not be needing those clothes. The baby is now 9 mths old and growing like a bad weed so I've got ALOT to donate. I've, so far, got 4 39-gallon bags of clothes to drop off and will probably have at MINIMUM 4-5 more. With a family of 9, 5 of those who are still growing out of things, you go thru alot of clothing. You buy, 2 weeks later they outgrow, 5 years later you donate HAHAHA.

So, now that I've rambled on here for a few minutes, the clothes in the dryer are done and its time to reboot the laundry so have to end this here. I'm sure I will have more things to say and I want to post a few things that caught my interest last night, such as the reason I am absolutely ecstatic that we moved, but that will have to come this evening.

Till then, Live, Laugh, Love...and WIN!!

Great Walgreens coupon good June 10th and 11th ONLY

Walgreens is offering $5.00 off a $25.00 purchase(after all coupons). Go here and print one out. Feel free to come back here and post your good deals! Helping others is part of what this site is all about!

Eight O'Clock Coffee Discover the Difference

As always on OLS, there are awesome contests to enter and this one in particular caught my eye and the first thing I thought of was my kitchen needs and "The Flour Incident". OMG! Here I've got my head stuck in the dryer looking for yet another rogue sock and my 3 yr old and 2 yr old decide it was the perfect time to cause some mischief. I come walking around the corner with a load of clothes only to see this little ghost boy who looks strangely like my son Lucas. He looks like he's fixing to get in a whole heap of trouble. Then, sister ghost, Meghan, comes walking around the corner. She's like OH NO!! Then she smiles that bucktooth little grin she has that she uses when she just knows she's in deep. Well, I look at them and tell them to stand still and ran and got the camera. Sure there was a mess on the floor and they were covered in flour but who could miss such a photo opp? Took them out on the porch, took some pics, took some video, and then I shook them out(you'd swear it was snowing), stripped them down, and they got in the bath. Had a blast showing dad what he missed while he was out. I so love my digital camera!

Anyway, if you wouldn't mind, could you possibly take a minute and go vote for us? You can go to http://discoverthedifference.com and search amyswinningways@gmail.com

It would be greatly appreciated and, if you ever have a vote request, please let me know! I'm great at voting!

My FIRST Contest---CLOSED

*****UPDATE!!!*****Winner posted and contacted! See HERE!!

This is going to be the easiest contest to enter ever! I am looking for followers and comments. Follow this blog and that's one entry. Leave me a comment on this post and that's a 2nd entry. Every day you come back and leave another comment and you get another entry. How easy is that? For this, there is no requirement on what you say, but I sure would appreciate it if you made your first comment something more substantial than "count me in" or "I wanna win". Tell me something I don't know. How is your day going? How's the weather where you are? Leave me a link to your blog so I can visit. Whatever. Really!

On July 4, I will contact the winner and he/she will be able to choose between a 1 year Premium Membership to Online-Sweepstakes.com or a $20.00 Amazon gift certificate.

I know this isn't the biggest and best blog out there but I sure would like to grow it to something to be proud of and, with your help, I can do just that!

Thanks for looking and reading and putting up with all my gobbledygook!!
Amy

**UPDATE** Thank you all for entering my first contest! You all are amazing!! It's getting down to the wire so spread the word, keep making your daily entry and I may very well be contacting you on July 4th! Entries will be accepted thru July 3rd at midnight CST! Winner will be contacted via email/blog and prize will be sent via email on July 14th. Follow my blog for my next great contest or for updates to this one! Thanks again and GOOD LUCK!!

To begin again...

Ok, so I got away from this blog for a few days. I've restyled it a bit but am still looking for a customizable 3 column template if anyone knows of a free one out there that I don't have to go and edit and all that. I'm really bad with HTML and it irritates me when it doesn't work right.

Speaking of right, be sure to check out my website for the company I'm starting. Using IE, go to http://www.rightmerchandising.com. This is my dream. It will take years before it is really going but for now I am subcontracting out certain things as I am allowed to. It's really kinda cool. I said use Internet Explorer as my scroll seems to have failed in Firefox. Something is wrong with the coding and I have to figure out what and that leads me back to the I'm really bad with HTML. See how things come full circle? LOL

Anyway, I will be adding more things to my blog as I come across them. I need to figure out how to add twitter on here and a million and one other things. Right now I am trying to decide what product I should choose for my first review. Could be interesting. Any ideas, let me know....

Ok, well, will be cruising the web, entering contests, blogging and tweeting today in between the 500 loads of clothes that I am working on....STILL.

Comments and followers are always appreciated!
